Our dear readers, greetings from Mpigi Women with Disabilities Association (MPWDA). We take this moment to update you on the status of beneficiaries of the learners with disabilities that you support to stay and complete school. We have a big number that is ready for final examinations for Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE). But among the many is Haliimah and Mary (not real names) who are doing ready for their final examinations. Haliimah a girl with epilepsy will be sitting her UCE examinations this year and Mary a girl with physical disability will be sitting her UACE examinations this year as well. They are very happy to be at school and have much hopes to advance and attain Bachelor’s degrees and become Doctor and Teacher respectively.
As MPWDA we are ready to give all the leaners with disabilities success cards who will be doing their final examinations including Mary and Haliimah to wish them all the best in their final examinations.
We believe that supporting learners with disabilities with schools fees, books, pens, sanitary pads and geometry sets can enable them stay and complete school.
