Children in Boyacá Have Overcome the Earthquake of Hatred
Colombia has, unfortunately, been a country marked by widespread violence, numerous conflicts, and far too much hatred. Generally, children have grown up in an adult world governed by fear and a lack of communication. The children participating in our programs have learned to overcome this cataclysm of hatred and exclusion by discovering their creative potential through theater, music, radio, puppetry, and social media. They have become empowered as individuals and have strengthened their self-esteem.
Just as Colombia suffered a devastating earthquake and its people are striving to overcome the terrible aftermath, the children of Boyacá are likewise overcoming the earthquake of isolation and loneliness.
