Improving crop production
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project feeding hungry families. Our strategy is for families to grow their own crops so that they have accesss to their own production rather than we ourselves providing them with food aid. Food aid we surmise help in the promotion of dependence and we could not do this forever with them so the best strategy is in providing them with productive resources like seeds, fertilizer and small farm tools. This reporting period we are able to assist 35 families in the growing of their own crops and we hope to increase the number in the coming months. Aside from farming inputs we also provide technical support which is also very important for farmers. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre

Food produce
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your donation to our project feeding hungry families. In previous activities we have we focused on the direct provision of food-stuff like rice and dried fish but this creates dependency among our beneficiaries. We changed our approach to promoting the growing of vegetables and fruit tree production and in so doing have sustainable means of getting income. This is the best approach that we think about given that most of our focus is on agriculture and in engaging the youth into farming with the realization that the age of farmers are old already and we need young blood to take over farming. This reporting period we were able to provide vegetable seeds as the main productive input to 160 young farmers and our next move will be to engage local technicians to provide support. Again thank you very much for your generosity.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre

Root crop production
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project feeding hungry families. We are excited about this project because of the potential in preventing hunger and malnutrition among poor families. Our strategy is to train and guide them to grow their own food, using their own resources and then providing them with small inputs like seeds, seedlings and organic fertilizer. We are planning to provide them with a small hand tractor that they can communaly use in order to hasten field cultivation. Cultivating their farm using hand tools is laborious and time-consuming. This reporting period we start with providing them with planting materials comprising root crops since we consider root crops as climate resilient crops as they are able to withstand harsh climatic conditions. We were able to start with 20 farmers and we hope to increase the number as we go along in project implementation. Hoping for your continuing support. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian Sayre
